On October 22, 2026, Airbnb announced a partnership with American Express Travel. Eligible U.S. Card Members can start from the Homes tab on AmexTravel.com or the Amex Travel app, browse a selection of more than one million Airbnb homes, and complete their reservation through Airbnb after linking their accounts.
Amex's terms, effective October 22, 2026, require full prepayment and cap each booking at 27 consecutive nights. Rewards and Airbnb Luxe benefits have their own card and booking conditions.
Where communication happens
Guests can view their trip on Amex Travel. Host messages, reservation changes and cancellations are managed through Airbnb. For owners, the new entry point is a reason to review the information guests receive before arrival.
Three checks for hosts
- Review the listing's current photos, amenities, calendar and minimum stay.
- Handle arrival messages and booking changes using the confirmed Airbnb reservation.
- Refer questions about card benefits to American Express's current terms before promising a benefit.
